Square Crypto (Part of Square, Inc.) has donated $100,000 to BTCPAY Foundation, the company behind the open-source BTCPay Server.

Square Crypto was founded by Jack Dorsey to give back to the open-source bitcoin community.

The donation can be used by the foundation to create anything, as long as it’s free and open-source, this can be improving scalability, security, privacy, or anything that helps bitcoin become even stronger.

The donation cannot be used to develop altcoin related features, or integrate third-party services into their software.

BTCPay is an open-source, self-hosted cryptocurrency payment processor that helps individuals or companies accept bitcoin easier.

Using them as a payment processor has huge benefits, such as not having to rely on third-parties, as well as not having to pay any fees.

You can also accept payments via the Lightning Network, plus you don’t need to share your private keys either.
